Boundary and ALTA Surveys
A Boundary Survey is used to determine the property lines of a parcel of land. It will also indicate the extent of any easements or encroachments. A survey is strongly recommended before buying or selling a home, constructing a new building or addition, erecting a fence along a property line or subdividing property.
An ALTA Survey is typically used by a title company or a lender to include boundary lines, building location and improvements, location of ancillary buildings, and the location of easements.
